中華民國國軍耗資491餘億元台幣向美方採購12架二手P-3C長程反潛巡邏機， 原訂7月必須達到初始作戰能力（IOC）標準，擔負反潛巡邏與空中布雷任務。軍方透露，美方不同意我國P-3C掛載海軍現有的空投水雷與深水炸彈，要求我國再編預算，向美方另採購空投水雷及深水炸彈，以致機隊目前仍無戰力，無法執勤，仍在訓練階段。[ If the above statement is true, then who are the director in purchasing these planes. If US made 空投水雷 and 深水炸彈 are cost effective and more reliable, then Taiwan definitely need to buy them. If those products just like Pontiac car, then why should ROC need to buy those second class weapon. Don’t get hook on lousy system and weapon like drugs like opium. For National defense, Taiwan should learn from Israel, take control of your own destiny not to depend on other people or nations too much.

You need friends and sincere honest friend. But the bottom line is that you need to stand up and fight and win.
